Babb, Cornish & Jung Named Big 12 Assistants For 2012-13

Carter Babb and Emma Cornish have been named Will Hancock Communications Assistants for the Big 12 Conference, while Jesse Jung has been chosen as the Digital Media Assistant. The trio will serve in their roles for the 2012-13 academic year.

Babb joins the Big 12 staff after handling multiple roles during his undergraduate time at TCU. He worked as a student intern in the Horned Frogs' athletic media relations office, gaining experience writing feature stories for the TCU website and working numerous events. He also served as a reporter and producer for TCU News Now and also earned production experience at various PGA Tour events working for CBS Sports. Babb has also contributed to the student radio station (KTCU) and student newspaper (Daily Skiff) at TCU.

Cornish spent four years working as a media relations student assistant at the University of Kansas. She most recently served as the secondary women's basketball contact for the Jayhawks' NCAA Tournament squad, assisting with upkeep of the team page on the KU website while also maintaining the team presence on the athletic department social media pages. She also spent time as the primary contact for the women's tennis and swimming and diving teams while also contributing as part of the media operations staff at football, men's basketball and baseball contests.

Jung gained experience in various areas of television production, including network and public broadcasting. He has spent the last year working as a freelance editor at The Weather Channel, editing and assembling segments for various shows. Jung also spent time as an editor, assistant editor and production assistant for Georgia Public Broadcasting. While at GPB, he earned show credits for numerous episodes of Georgia Traveler. He was awarded his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Art Institute of Atlanta after spending two years at Georgia Tech.

Babb, Cornish and Jung will begin work with the Big 12 Conference in July.
