Big 12 Places Four on FWAA Freshman All-America Team

Four Big 12 football players were named to the 11th annual Football Writers Association of America Freshman All-America Team. Kansas State is one of two schools in the nation with two players on the team.

Offensive lineman B.J. Finney (Kansas State) represented the league on the offensive side of the ball, while Quandre Diggs (Texas) was recognized at defensive back.

Michael Hunnicutt (Oklahoma) and Tyler Lockett (Kansas State) earned accolades for their work on special teams at the kicker and kick returner positions, respectively.

The FWAA is a non-profit organization founded in 1941 which consists of more than 1,200 men and women who cover college football for a living. The membership includes journalists, broadcasters and publicists, as well as key executives in all the areas that involve the game. The FWAA works to govern areas that include gameday operations, major awards and its annual All-America team.
