Big 12 Indoor Track & Field Female Athlete of the Week

Brooks won her eighth consecutive shot put title after she totaled a 60-3.25/18.32m put at the Sooner Invitational, to break the meet record. Her performance marked the second time this year that the senior thrower has surpassed a meet record after she broke the J.D. Martin Invitational and Mosier Indoor Track facility shot put record earlier this year with the nation's-best performance in the event. Brooks, who sits No. 1 in the country in the shot, is the only woman in the NCAA to throw over 60 feet in 2013.
