The NCAA has released its national attendance leaders for men’s basketball and the Big 12 is listed among the best totals in the nation. The conference boasts nine teams ranked among the top 100 nationally.
The Big 12 averaged 10,289 fans in attendance throughout the league to rank fourth nationally among conferences. It marks the fourth straight year the conference has finished in the top four. The Big 12 also ranked fifth with an overall total of 1,821,229.
Kansas led the Big 12 with an average of 16,438 fans to rank No. 10 in the nation, followed by Iowa State (No. 22, 13,393) and Kansas State (No. 24, 12,528). Oklahoma saw the biggest improvement in the conference with an increase of 1,365 fans per game to rank 16th nationally.
The Big 12 has had at least nine teams among the top 75 in attendance for 13 consecutive seasons.
