WACO, Texas – The Baylor Bears and the Oklahoma State Cowgirls are set to compete for the 2014 Big 12 Equestrian Championship on Saturday after pulling off semifinal victories over TCU and K-State at the Willis Family Equestrian Center in Waco on Friday afternoon.

For the second-consecutive season, the Cowgirls entered the championship as the No. 1 seed. OSU held on to a narrow 5-4 lead over No. 4 K-State through fences and horsemanship. In the second half of the day, each team picked up five points between the reining and flat events, giving the Cowgirls the 10-9 victory.

In-state rivals Baylor and TCU met in the day's other semifinal. The second-seeded Bears jumped out to a 7-3 lead over No. 3 TCU after fences and horsemanship. TCU picked up four of the five points in reining, but the Bears held on to win, 11-9.
