Parajova remains undefeated at the No. 2 singles position and leads the team with an 11-0 record in dual matches. The reigning Big 12 No. 3 singles champion, she has not lost a match since Nov. 8, 2013, and has won eight of her 11 matches in straight sets. After defeating two ranked opponents in the fall, the junior picked up her first victory over a ranked opponent in dual matches on March 14. Parajova was down a set to No. 114 Elizabeth Begley of Texas and won a tiebreaker in the second set and a super tiebreaker in the third set for the win. She has been instrumental in the team’s three-match winning streak, including upset victories over No. 63 North Florida and the No. 22 Longhorns to open conference play.
The Slovakia native has paired up with Monika Sirilova in doubles action and the duo have picked up the first win in doubles in all three matches. Parajova opened the week with an easy win over Joanna Nalborska of Louisiana Tech and then clinched the win over North Florida with a three-set victory over Esther Zuniga. She capped off the week with the win over Begley to give TCU its first win over Texas since 2010.
