Enempkali and McGee-Stafford Pick Up WBB Honors

Texas swept the Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors as Nneka Enempkali picked up player recognition for the second time in three weeks while Imani McGee-Stafford received her first freshman award.

Nneka Enempkali averaged 22.5 points and 15 rebounds in Texas' wins over Jackson State and Central Connecticut State. She has posted a double-double in all four of the Longhorns' games this season, becoming the first UT player to accomplish this feat since Tiffany Jackson in 2006. The sophomore forward's 20 rebounds vs. JSU were the most since Kathleen Nash pulled down 20 against Boston on Nov. 21, 2010. Enempkali also posted career highs with four steals and five blocks. For the week, she hit .654 (17-of-26) from the field, including both of her three-point attempts.

Imani McGee-Stafford, Texas, C, 6-7, Los Angeles, Calif.
Imani McGee-Stafford posted her first career double-double while averaging 12.5 points and 8.5 rebounds in the Longhorns' two wins. She also recorded nine blocks against Central Connecticut State, the most for a Longhorn since Ashley Gayle swatted 10 shots vs. Cincinnati on Dec. 28, 2010. McGee-Stafford connected on .632 (12-of-19) of her field goal attempts last week.
