Zach Fish (Oklahoma State), Jonathan Gray (Oklahoma) and Jonny Drozd (Texas Tech) have been named Big 12 baseball weekly award winners for games played March 11-17.

This is the first career honor for Fish and Drozd, while Gray picks up his second consecutive Pitcher of the Week accolade. Gray was also named Newcomer of the Week once last season for a total of three career honors overall. Fish earned Player of the Week honors, while Drozd is the Newcomer of the Week.

Zach Fish, Oklahoma State, So., RF, Kalamazoo, Mich./Gull Lake HS
Fish helped Oklahoma State to a perfect 5-0 week as he led an offense that produced 54 runs in its five outings. The sophomore slugger turned in a .600 batting average (12-for-20) with a team-leading eight RBI. He also hit safely in all five games to extend a season-long hitting streak to 13 games. The Cowboys' right fielder had multiple hits in four of the five games, including tying a career high with three hits in three of those contests, and also had three 2-RBI games. He was 7-for-11 (.636) with runners in scoring position.

In his five-game tear, Fish tallied 20 total bases and turned in a 1.000 slugging percentage. He had at least one extra-base hit in four of the five games and finished with five doubles and a home run. Fish also led OSU with three stolen bases on three attempts and scored a team-high eight runs. With his production last week, Fish raised his batting average to .392, which ranks eighth in the Big 12. He also ranks in the top 10 in the conference in hits, homers, double, RBIs, runs, total bases and slugging percentage.

Jonathan Gray, Oklahoma, Jr., RHP, 6-4, Chandler, Okla./Eastern Oklahoma State
Gray fanned a career-high 12 in a complete-game effort to push the No. 17 Oklahoma baseball team to a 1-0 victory Friday over Northwestern State in the opener of a three-game weekend series at L. Dale Mitchell Park. Gray, who tossed his first complete-game shutout in the triumph over the Demons, has not allowed a run in 16 straight innings. The reigning Big 12 Pitcher of the Week allowed just five hits, improving to 4-1 on the season. Gray ranks second in the Big 12 in strikeouts (39) and innings pitched (35.2).

Jonny Drozd, Texas Tech, Jr., LHP, Lake Dallas, Texas/Grayson County College
Drozd went 2-0 on the week while pitching 12.1 scoreless innings starting with a seven-inning start against Utah Valley. The junior transfer also tossed a 5.1 inning win in relief at Texas in which he did not allow a run with two strikeouts and no walks. Drozd opened the week with a career-high 10 strikeouts in seven shutout innings against Utah Valley during Tech's 9-2 victory. He was perfect through 4.1 innings and retired 20 of the first 21 batters he faced from the first through seventh inning. He finished the week pitching 5.1 scoreless innings in relief to lead Tech to a 4-2 win to clinch the series at Texas. It marked Tech's first win over Texas in Austin since 2001.
