• Texas reclaimed the top spot in this week’s AVCA national rankings, checking in at No. 1 for the first time since opening the 2013 season with the top billing. UT received 44 of the 60 possible first-place votes in this week’s poll. The Longhorns remain atop the league standings with a 6-0 record and enter the week with a nine-match winning streak.

• Sitting in second place, the Kansas Jayhawks went 2-0 last week and moved up one spot to No. 22 in the latest AVCA poll. Along with UT, Kansas is the only league team that is undefeated in Big 12 play on the road this season. Oklahoma and Iowa State are receiving votes this week.
