After sweeping the men's and women's titles for the past three years, Texas A&M earned the highest showing for the league with the men and women taking home third-place honors.
The Aggie men, who have won the 4x400-meter relay the last two years, finished fourth in a time of 39.08. Baylor followed in fifth at 39.37.
TAMU's Wayne Davis II tallied a second-place showing in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 13.60.
One the women's side, the Aggies were runner-up in the 4x100-meter relay for a second consecutive year behind LSU, after clocking a 42.82. TAMU's time was the fastest mark for a second-place finish in NCAA history. Texas Tech finished in eighth with a 44.76.
In the 4x400, TAMU finished third with 3:28.58 after Kansas was disqualified.
Heading into the outdoor championship, Kansas' Andrea Geubelle had notched the collegiate-best triple jump mark, but took home third place honors with a leap of 45-5 (13.84m). She set a school record 46-3 jump during the preliminaries.
The Aggie men and women also recorded top three finishes in the 200 meters, as Ameer Webb placed second and Dominique Duncan finished third for the women.
The Texas men finished second-best of all league schools with 22 points for ninth place. The Red Raiders followed in a tie for 18th overall with Stanford in the team standings as both teams finished with 16 points. Texas Tech now has three consecutive top-20 finishes at the NCAA Championships. Kansas and Kansas State tied for 23rd with 12 points, while Oklahoma finished in a tie for 40th with six tallies.
The Jayhawk ladies tied for fourth after posting 28 points through four days of competition, garnering the program's highest finish at the outdoor meet. Oklahoma trailed in seventh with 24 points. Texas narrowly missed the top 10, finishing in 11th with 20 points.
In individual event titles, the Big 12 recorded 17 top three finishes and five titles.
