Three Tally Big 12 Track & Field Weekly Honors
RELATED LINKS
Three student-athletes share this week's Big 12 Track & Field honors. Luke Bryant (Oklahoma) and Deon Lendore (Texas A&M) have been selected male co-athletes of the week, while Baylor's Skylar White earned female athlete of the week honors.

The three student-athletes each garnered their first career outdoor distinction. It is the first time since 2003 that a Sooner has claimed the male accolade in back-to-back weeks. Lendore's award brings Texas A&M's outdoor total to 15, more than any school in league history.

White is the fifth Lady Bear to tally an outdoor weekly honor, and second this season (Tiffani McReynods, March 28). It is only the second time in Big 12 history that BU has had two weekly recipients in one season (Lakadron Ivery and April Holiness in 2004).

Big 12 Outdoor Track & Field Male Co-Athletes of the Week
Luke Bryant, Oklahoma, Sr., Clearwater, Kan.
Bryant became just the second OU men's discus thrower to eclipse the 200 feet mark as he recorded a collegiate-best 202-4 feet throw to finish fourth at the John Jacobs Invitational Saturday. His mark leads the NCAA and is the second best in program history. Two days prior, the senior placed third at the USATF sanctioned Old Style Discus Classic with a 203 feet throw. The Kansas-native was the top collegiate finisher in both meets, and his USATF event mark is the 19th best in the world this year.

Deon Lendore, Texas A&M, Fr., Arima, Trinidad and Tobago
At the Miami Hurricane Alumni Invitational, Lendore won the 400 meters in 45.56 seconds, bettering the field by a second and a half. His mark is the second fastest collegiate time this season and the fifth fastest in the world for 2012. The freshman ranks No. 9 on the Texas A&M all-time list, moving one spot ahead of Ted Nelson's 45.93 from 1965. Lendore also anchored the A&M 4x400-meter relay with a 45.2 split as the Aggies claimed the top spot in 3:06.44.

Big 12 Outdoor Track & Field Female Athlete of the Week
Skylar White, Baylor, Jr., DeSoto, Texas
Claiming two of Baylor's five wins at the Texas Tech Open, White broke the school discus record by 11 feet with her toss of 189-2 feet. The junior moved up to first in the Big 12 No. 3 in the NCAA by more than six feet with the throw. She also took home the shot put crown with a throw of 55-0.25 feet, ranking the Texan second in the league and eighth in the nation. It is her third shot put and second discus titles of the outdoor season.
