Kithuka remained unbeaten in 2013 after earning his 12th-straight victory (dating back to his 2012 debut) at the 2013 NCAA Pre-National meet in Terre Haute, Ind.

Kithuka, the 2012 NCAA Champion, finished more than 30 seconds ahead of the field and crossed the finish line Saturday with a season-best time of 22:52 in the 8,000-meter race. With the victory he became just the third athlete since 2004 to follow his NCAA Championship performance with a victory at the Pre-National meet the following year.

The highly-competitive meet featured more than 180 cross country teams from across the country.
