Following a 2-0 week for the Cyclones, Iowa State’s Kristen Hahn becomes the all-time leader in Big 12 volleyball weekly awards history with her 16th career Defensive Player of the Week honor. Sallie McLaurin (Oklahoma) and Chloe Collins (Texas) were also named weekly award winners for matches played Oct. 23-26.

The 16 awards for Hahn surpasses former Cyclone Ashley Mass. In addition to Hahn’s quartet of wins this season, she claimed the award eight times in 2012 and on four occasions in 2011.

McLaurin earns her fourth Offensive Player of the Week distinction this season and 10th of her career. She is just one of three players to garner four or more honors in a single season in that category in Big 12 history. Her 10 career awards ranks fifth on the league’s weekly awards career chart.

Collins was named the Rookie of the Week, her first career honor, and third for a Texas freshman this season.
