Big 12 Athlete of the Year candidates will be highlighted each day through July 20. Fans who follow the Big 12 Conference on Facebook and twitter will then be able to vote for their male and female choices from July 20-24. Fan voting will be considered in the final tally for selecting this prestigious award.

This afternoon's featured candidates are Texas' Marquise Goodwin and Bailey Webster.

Marquise Goodwin; Football and Track & Field
Junior; Garland, Texas


♦  Claimed the long jump competition at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials with a PR of 27-4.25 to compete in the 2012 Olympic Games
♦  2012 NCAA Outdoor Long Jump Champion (also won in 2010)
♦  Became the first collegiate athlete to win both the NCAA title and Olympic Trials in the same year since 1960
♦  On the football field, caught 33 passes for 421 yards and two touchdowns, carried the ball 22 times for 220 yards and returned 11 kickoffs for 247 yards
♦  Has played in 37 career games with 16 starts
