Kyle Jones, Baylor, Jr., Snowflake, Ariz.
Jones recorded top-15 finishes in all three tournaments in March, helping the Horned Frogs to top-three finishes in all three events. The junior had six rounds of par or better, including a career-best 65 in the second round at Cabo Collegiate. His 65 was three strokes better than any other score out of 234 total rounds played in the tournament. The Snowflake, Ariz. native recorded a 71.22 stroke average for the month. Jones was among only four golfers out of 84 to play all three rounds at par or better in the Lone Star Invitational.
Sasikarn On-Iam, Iowa State, Sr., Bangkok, Thailand
On-Iam went on a tear at the Hurricane Invitational, where her medalist finish was the first by an Iowa State golfer in six years. The senior recorded 16 birdies at the event to lead the field. Her second round featured a string of five consecutive birdies en route to a score of 69. She became the third Cyclone this year, and also the third in school history, to record back-to-back sub 70 rounds (Cajsa Persson, Prima Thammaraks and Sasikarn On-Iam). Only one other Big 12 golfer has achieved this feat this season (Julie Wang, Oklahoma State). At the Hurricane Invitational, On-Iam was up against a stiff field, which featured three teams in the Golfstat top-30. On-Iam also knocked off No. 18 Tiffany Chan of Daytona State College.
