Four Big 12 volleyball matches will be televised on ESPNU for the upcoming season, along with one match on FOX Sports Networks, the Conference office announced.
Six league teams will be featured between the five telecasts with 2012 NCAA national champion Texas making three appearances. Baylor and Iowa State will be featured twice, while Kansas and West Virginia will each host a televised match. Four of the squads made the 2012 NCAA postseason.
A pair of UT road matches will be carried on ESPNU, while the Longhorns’ contest against Iowa State at home on Oct. 19 is slated for an FSN telecast. The Cyclones will also be featured on ESPNU when they host Texas Tech on Oct. 30. That matchup is part of a primetime Big 12 doubleheader with Baylor visiting Kansas at 6:00 p.m. before Iowa State and Tech face off at 8:00 p.m..
Additional television appearances will be made through Big 12 broadcast partners as well as institutional contracts and will be announced when available.
The Big 12 volleyball season starts on Friday, Aug. 30, with conference play beginning on Wednesday, September 25.
