All Four Big 12 Equestrian Teams Land Preseason Rankings

All four Big 12 Equestrian programs will begin the 2013-14 season ranked in the National Collegiate Equestrian Association’s Preseason Top 10.

Defending Big 12 and Western National Champion Oklahoma State leads the way for the conference at No. 4. The 2013 national title was the first for the Cowgirls since 2008.

K-State also earned a top 5 ranking at No. 5. The Wildcats' roster features 21 seniors who led the K-State to a Reserve Western National Championship last season.

The Baylor Bears checked in at No. 7 while TCU notched the No. 9 spot.

The 2013-14 collegiate equestrian season begins Friday, Sept. 20 when No. 3 South Carolina hosts No. 5 Kansas State.
