Kansas State Garners Big 12 Boat of the Week Award
April 19, 2012

The Kansas State first varsity eight boat has been awarded the Big 12 Boat of the Week honor for competition  from April 1-15. The boat played a part in helping the Wildcats defeat in-state rival Kansas with a victory in the final race of the regatta.

This is the second Big 12 Rowing award presented by the league office, after the Oklahoma varsity eight captured the first award last month. Rowing is in its first season as a fully-sponsored league sport, after being sponsored on a limited basis for the past three years.
