Seven Menís and Womenís Track & Field Teams Land on Preseason Poll

Seven Big 12 indoor track and field squads have earned spots on the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association 2013 preseason poll. Texas led the way on the men's side, checking in at No. 3, while the Kansas women pace the conference at No. 2.

Two squads join the Longhorns in the men's rankings, including Kansas State at No. 22 and Oklahoma at No. 24.

The Iowa State women earned a No. 8 spot, while Texas and Baylor followed in the 14th and 15th picks, respectively.

The Kansas women earned runner-up accolades at the 2012 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, while Texas and Iowa State also notched top-10 finishes. On the men's side, Texas led the way with a seventh-place finish.

The 2013 indoor track and field season gets underway this weekend as eight of the league's 10 teams are in action.
