Hallie Christofferson (Iowa State) and Odyssey Sims (Baylor) have earned Senior CLASS All-America honors with Christofferson named to the first team and Sims to the second team.
An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence – classroom, community, character and competition.
Christofferson earned first-team All-Big 12 honors for the second time in her career after averaging 18.4 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. She was an Academic All-Big 12 First-Team honoree for the third-consecutive season.
Sims was named both Big 12 Player and Defensive Player of the Year and is a four-time All-Big 12 selection. She is second in the nation in scoring after averaging 28.5 points in her final season. Sims has picked up All-America honors from every team announced thus far.
