Four From Big 12 Ranked In Coaches Poll

The preseason Amway Coaches Poll, as voted on by 62 head coaches at Bowl Subdivision schools, was released Thursday and included four Big 12 teams in the top 25. Oklahoma and Baylor lead the way, checking in at No. 3 and No. 10, respectively. The Sooners also received three first place votes, the second-most of any team in the country.

Kansas State is the conference’s third ranked representative at No. 22, followed by Texas at No. 24. Oklahoma State, TCU and Texas Tech were alsorecieved votes in the season’s initial poll.

The 2014 season kicks off on August 30 with a slate of nine non-conference games over Labor Day weekend.
