Big 12 Places Five on Preseason Naismith List

Five Big 12 men's basketball players are among the 50 on the Preseason Citizen Naismith Trophy Watch list, which will culminate with the 50th presentation of the award on April 1, 2018. 

Players who do not make the watch list are still eligible to be selected for the midseason 30 team.

Big 12 representatives include Devonte' Graham (Kansas), Malik Newman (Kansas), Jeffrey Carroll (Oklahoma State), Mohamed Bamba (Texas) and Jevon Carter (West Virginia).

Founded during the 1956-57 season, the Atlanta Tipoff Club is committed to promoting the game of basketball and recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of those who make the game so exciting. The Atlanta Tipoff Club administers the Naismith Awards, which have become the most prestigious national honors in all of college basketball. Named in honor of Dr. James Naismith, inventor of the game of basketball, the Naismith Trophy recognizes the top Men’s and Women’s College Basketball Players of the Year.
