Andrea Riley (Oklahoma State) and Anna Prins (Iowa State) were named Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Players of the Week by a media voting panel for season-opening games of Nov. 13-15. Riley (player) was honored for the eighth time in her career while Prins (freshman) picked up her first award.

Andrea Riley led Oklahoma State to a pair of wins in the preseason WNIT over UALR, 67-58, and No. 19 Georgia Tech, 70-64, to advance to the semifinal round. The 5-5 guard averaged 25.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.0 steals. Riley recorded 27 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals in the season-opener against UALR. She followed that with 24 points, six rebounds, seven assists and two steals in the win over Georgia Tech. Riley moved into a tie with Texas A&M's Takia Starks for eighth on the Big 12's all-time scoring list with 1,977 points.

Anna Prins, Iowa State, C, 6-7, Broomfield, Colo.
Anna Prins scored 20 points to lead Iowa State to an 80-40 win over Florida Atlantic in the team's season opener. The 6-7 center went 7-of-10 from the field, hitting three of her five attempts from the three-point line. Prins also connected on 3-of-4 from the free-throw line. She contributed five rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot in just 21 minutes of action in her career opener. Prins led all Big 12 freshmen in scoring in the opening weekend of regular-season action.
