No. 10 seeded Oklahoma earned the victory Friday evening over No. 6 seeded Washington in the NCAA Women's College World Series. Sooner Fale Aviu scored a run, batted in another and Sydney Romero hit a solo home run as Oklahoma beat Washington 3-1 in Oklahoma City.
Paige Parker struck out six over 6.1 innings and gave up just three hits to collect the win in the circle. Paige Lowary came on for the final two outs to get the save.
With the win, the Sooners advance to Sunday where they will need just one win to move on to the championship series. Fans can catch the action at 2:30 p.m. CT on ESPN when OU takes on LSU, Oregon or Baylor.
No. 15 Baylor will play No. 3 Oregon tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. CT on ESPN in the elimination bracket.
