Weekly Awards Include Three Schools

Justin Crawford (West Virginia), Kamari Cotton-Moya (Iowa State), Dorance Armstrong, Jr. (Kansas) and Matthew Wyman (Kansas) picked up Big 12 football weekly honors. Crawford (offensive and newcomer) was recognized for the second time this season as the top newcomer while earning his first offensive award. Cotton-Moya (defense), Armstrong, Jr. (defense) and Wyman (special teams) received their first honor.

Justin Crawford, West Virginia, RB, Jr, Columbus, Ga.
· Crawford compiled a game-high 331 yards on 24 carries for a 13.8 average in West Virginia’s loss to Oklahoma.
· Long run was 61 yards and also had carries of 36, 36, 45 and 45 yards.
· Third-most rushing yards in school history and first 300-yard rusher since Tavon Austin had a program-best 344 yards against OU in 2012.
· His 61-yard run in the second quarter tied for the longest play from scrimmage in 2016.

Kamari Cotton-Moya, Iowa State, S, Jr, Bakersfield, Calif. 
· Cotton-Moya played a key role in holding Texas Tech to season lows in points (10) and yards (306) in Iowa State’s win.
· Had two takeaways with an interception and fumble recovery, and caused the fumble he recovered.
· His interception was a pick-six, going 48 yards for ISU’s first defensive touchdown in over two years.
· It was ISU’s first pick-six since 2012.
· Also had six tackles and one tackle-for-loss in the game.

Dorance Armstrong, Jr., Kansas, DE, So, Houston, Texas  
· Armstrong led KU’s defensive effort in a 24-21 overtime win over Texas, the Jayhawks’ first win over the Longhorns since 1938.
· Tallied a career-best 11 total tackles, including nine solo stops, two sacks and three TFL.
· His strip-sack of UT QB Tyrone Swoopes marked his second forced fumble of the season. He recovered the fumble and returned it seven yards.
· Leads the Big 12 in both sacks (10.0) and TFLs (17.0) on the season.

Matthew Wyman, Kansas, K, Sr, Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
· Wyman kicked the game-winning 25-yard field goal in overtime in Kansas’ win over Texas.
· He connected on three field goals during the game with a 36-yarder in the second quarter and another 36-yarder with seven seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game.
· The game-winning field goal marked the second of his career as he kicked a 52-yarder against Louisiana Tech in 2013.
