Graham Harrell (Texas Tech), Ndamukong Suh (Nebraska) and Cyrus Gray (Texas A&M) have been named Big 12 Conference Football Players of the Week as selected by a media panel. Harrell (offense) earned his sixth career award and third consecutive. Suh (defense) and Gray (special teams) were recognized for the first time. Harrell is the second player to earn three consecutive weekly honors, joining Ricky Williams (Texas) in 1998.

Graham Harrell completed 40-of-50 passes for 456 yards and six touchdowns in No. 2/3 Texas Tech’s win over No. 8/8 Oklahoma State. He ranks third all-time on the NCAA career passing yardage list with 14,759 yards, trailing former BYU quarterback Ty Detmer (15,031) by 272 yards. The Ennis, Texas senior has 4,077 yards this season and 36 touchdown passes. Harrell has thrown 125 career touchdown passes.
BIG 12 DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ndamukong Suh, Nebraska, NT, Jr., Portland, Ore.
Ndamukong Suh collected a career-high 12 tackles in Nebraska’s win over Kansas. The 12 stops are the most by a Nebraska defensive lineman since 2005. He also had a career-best 2.5 sacks for 18 yards in losses and made four tackles behind the line of scrimmage for a loss of 19 yards. Suh played fullback in short-yardage situations and caught a two-yard touchdown pass. The junior nose tackle leads the Huskers with 60 tackles and his 6.0 average tops all Big 12 defensive linemen.
BIG 12 SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Cyrus Gray, Texas A&M, KR, Fr, DeSoto, Texas
Cyrus Gray set a Texas A&M single-game record with 261 kickoff return yards on seven attempts against Oklahoma. It marked the second-most kickoff return yardage in the Big 12 behind Iowa State’s Leonard Johnson who had 319 against Oklahoma State on Nov. 1. Gray had a 97-yard return for a touchdown, the first Aggie kickoff return for a score since Kerry Franks took a 99-yarder back against Texas Tech in 2006. He totaled a career-high 294 all-purpose yards in the game for the most since Leeland McElroy established the school record with 359 against LSU in 1995. Gray is closing in on the Big 12 record for kickoff return yards in a season (994 by Nebraska’s Josh Davis in 2002) with 988 and two games left on the regular-season schedule.
