The Big 12 leads the nation with 80 percent of its teams selected to bowl games with No. 2 Oklahoma headed to the CFP semifinals to face No. 3 Georgia in the Rose Bowl.

The Big 12 Champion Sooners are joined in postseason play by Iowa State, Kansas State, No. 19 Oklahoma State, No. 15 TCU, Texas, Texas Tech and West Virginia.

The Big 12 has at least 80% of teams bowl eligible for the third time in Conference history (90% in 2010 and 80% in 2011). It marks just the 14th occasion since 1996 that an FBS league has at least 80% of teams with 6-plus wins.

Oklahoma is making its second appearance in three years in a CFP semifinal. It marks the Big 12’s sixth appearance in a CFP News Year’s Bowl in the four years of the structure.
