Kansas State's Miles Bearden and Kansas' Sydney Conley take the season's final Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week honors. This marks second career weekly for Conley and first for Bearden.

TRACK & FIELD MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Miles Bearden, Kansas State, Jr., Cartersville, Ga.

  • Recorded his outdoor personal best in his final meet before the Big 12 Championship, taking first in high jump with a clearance of 2.15m/7-00.50.
  • Now holds the third-best mark in the Big 12 and is tied for the 16th-best mark in the West Region.


TRACK & FIELD FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Sydney Conley, Kansas, Sr., Fayetteville, Ark.

  • Recorded two gold medals at the Ward Haylett Invitational in the long jump with a 6.62m (21-8.75) mark and 11.49 second run in the 100 meters.
  • Inserted her name at No. 5 in the NCAA long jump ranking and first in the Big 12, while mrking the seventh-fastest in the Big 12 this season in the 100m.
