Irving, Texas - A total of 344 student-athletes have earned recognition on the 2018 Academic All-Big 12 Track & Field Team.
A total of 136 make up the men’s team (102 first team and
Oklahoma State paced the men’s teams with 25 honorees, while Baylor led the women’s side with 33.
Eleven men’s honorees registered 4.00 grade point averages: Ben Butler (Oklahoma State), Braden Darrow (Texas Tech), Dustan Davidson (Oklahoma State), Steven Duran (Texas Tech), Noah Gade (Oklahoma State), Tanner Green (Oklahoma State), Braden Kleinschmidt (Kansas), George Letner (Kansas), Christian Liddell (Oklahoma State), Brandon Lombardino (Kansas) and Cole Verble (Oklahoma State).
There were 27 women that represented with 4.00 GPAs: Ariane Ballner (Oklahoma State), Amy Cashin (West Virginia), Jennifer Celis (Oklahoma State), Ashley Morgan Coffman (Kansas State), Margaret Drazba (West Virginia), Stephanie Ferrante (Oklahoma State), Jillian Forsey (West Virginia), Evelyne Guay (Iowa State), Cameron Gueldner (Kansas), Mary Hamel (TCU), Emily Hart (Oklahoma State), Nicole Hicks (TCU), Olivia Hill (West Virginia), Caylene Hume (Kansas State), Tessa Krempel (Iowa State), Isabella Lackner (Baylor), Morgan Long (Oklahoma), Michelle Magnani (Oklahoma State), Kelly Naumann (Iowa State), Natlie Parks (Texas Tech), Andrea Pettit (West Virginia), Hattie Schunk (Texas Tech), Jasmine Staebler (Iowa State), Laura Taylor (Kansas), Belle Wallace (Oklahoma), Bria Welker (West Virginia) and Andrea Willis (Kansas).
First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 20 percent of their team’s scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
