Andrew Hudson (Texas Tech) and Kynnedy Flannel (Texas) were named the Big 12 Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week.
Hudson ran the fastest time in the world this season (20.41) in the 200m at the Red Raider Open. He currently ranks No. 1 in both the Big 12 and NCAA. The senior also anchored the 4x400m relay team that ran a 3:04.93 – the second-fastest relay time in TTU history. This week’s award marks Hudson’s second all-time.
Flannel capped off the Clemson Invitational with two first-place finishes, coming in the 60m (7.26) and the 200m (22.88). The Alvin, Texas, native holds the fastest time in the nation in the 200m and assisted her teammates to the No. 3 fastest time in the 4x400m relay (3:34.43). The marks the first award for the Longhorn freshman.
