Two Baylor juniors, Matthew Perrine and Amy Lee, earn Big 12 golf monthly awards after posting both victories and top-five finishes in their tournaments. Perrine set career-highs in each of his two events while Lee recorded her first medalist honor and has notched top-25 finishes in all four tournaments of her Baylor career.
Big 12 Male Golfer of the Month
Matthew Perrine, Baylor, Jr., Austin, Texas
Owned a 68.33 stroke average for the month of October.
Shared a first place victory at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate and finished fourth at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate.
Shot 72 or better in all six rounds, including five of six rounds below 70.
Big 12 Female Golfer of the Month
Amy Lee, Baylor, Jr., Orange County, Calif.
Earned two top-five finishes, including the top honor at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown and a fifth-place tie at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational.
Produced back-to-back birdies on the final two holes in Las Vegas to win by one stroke.
Shot three consecutive rounds of 68 or lower on her way to owning a 69.80 stroke average for the month of October.
