Five Big 12 student-athletes were honored on the Google Cloud Academic All-District Women’s At-Large Team, selected by CoSIDA. The award recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the playing field and in the classroom.
Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas and West Virginia each recorded an honoree. Three tennis student-athletes were recognized in addition to two rowers.
OU’s Lily Miyazaki also earned the NCAA Elite 90 Award, which recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the national championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. The Elite 90 is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA’s 90 championships.
The Google Cloud Academic All-America teams will be announced in June.
