IRVING, Texas - The Big 12 Conference has announced the 2008 Gymnastics All-Conference Team. The top four Big 12 gymnasts with the highest regional qualifying score (RQS) in each event, excluding all-around, determine All-Conference honors. The RQS can be obtained from GymInfo.com.

Oklahoma's Kiara Redmond-Sturms is the only Big 12 gymnast to place among the top four conference gymnasts in each event. The senior All-American leads the conference in uneven bars with a RQS of 9.890 as well as floor exercise (9.935), which she currently ranks second in the nation.

Last year's Big 12 Gymnast of the Year, Emily Parsons (Nebraska), is featured among the top four gymnasts in three of four events. Parsons' regional qualifying score of 9.945 on vault leads the Big 12 and is third best in the nation.

Hollie Vise of Oklahoma was also honored for multiple events. The sophomore ranks among the top four in uneven bars and balance beam. Her teammate Haley DeProspero leads the Big 12 in balance beam with a RQS of 9.895, placing her in the top five nationally.
