IRVING, Texas -- Nick Sullivan (Nebraska) and Aaron Crow (Missouri) have been selected as the Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for games of March 17-23 in voting by a media panel. Both student-athletes are recognized for the first time.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Nick Sullivan, Nebraska, OF, Jr., Arvada, Colo./Pomona
Sullivan posted a .444 batting average (8-for-18) along with a home run, nine RBI and four runs scored to lead the No. 22 Huskers to a 3-1-1 record. He drove in at least one run in every game, including three multi-hit contests.

On Tuesday against Arkansas, Sullivan hit his first homer since May 2006. His two-run shot gave NU a 3-1 lead. The Arvada, Colo. outfielder went 2-for-4 with a walk and stolen base to extend the Huskers' win streak to 14 games.

Sullivan's two-run seventh inning single tied the game at two in the rally against Oklahoma on Friday. In game two versus the Sooners, Sullivan connected on a two-run single in the first inning, as the Huskers scored three runs in the first and never trailed in the 4-3 win. He finished the week going 1-for-3 with a walk and two RBI in addition to scoring the tying run in the bottom of the ninth to help the Huskers overcome an 8-6 deficit for a tie against OU.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Aaron Crow, Missouri, RHP, Jr., Wakarusa, Kan./Washburn Rural
Crow recorded his second straight complete-game shutout on Friday against No. 13 Baylor. The 2007 All-Big 12 First Team performer did not allow a run while improving his streak of scoreless innings to 25.2. Crow struck out 10 and allowed just three hits. He retired the final eight batters he faced, including striking out the last five. The Wakarusa, Kan. hurler is 5-0 on the season and has struck out a Big 12-leading 51 batters in 35 innings of work. His second shutout, a conference high, lowers his ERA to 1.03.
