Dec. 31, 2007

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Zac Robinson threw for three touchdowns and ran for two more to lead Oklahoma State to a 49-33 win over Indiana in the Insight Bowl at Sun Devil Stadium Monday.

With the win, OSU finishes the season 7-6 for the second-consecutive year. The Cowboys are now 12-6 all-time in bowl games. The win also marked the second-straight season OSU has earned a bowl victory, something the program has accomplished just twice before (1987-88 and 1945-46).

Robinson was named the game's offensive MVP after completing 24-of-34 passes for 302 yards and three scores and rushing for 70 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.

OSU racked up 513 yards of total offense against the Hoosiers. Along with Robinson, Dantrell Savage rushed for 100 yards, and Dez Bryant had 117 yards receiving and two touchdown catches to lead the Cowboy attack.

Donovan Woods was named the game's defensive MVP. OSU's senior linebacker racked up nine tackles in the win.

OSU led by 25 points at halftime, and Indiana (7-6) could only draw as close as 42-27 late in the fourth quarter before the Cowboys put the game away on a touchdown run by Julius Crosslin with under a minute remaining.

Indiana got on the scoreboard first, taking the opening kickoff and driving 52 yards before a 43-yard field goal by Austin Starr gave the Hoosiers a 3-0 advantage.

The Cowboys did not need long to overtake IU, capping a 67-yard drive on their first possession with a three-yard touchdown run by Savage.

OSU added to its lead on its next possession, with Robinson throwing a 24-yard scoring strike to Bryant to give the Pokes a 14-3 lead.

The first quarter had not yet ended when OSU struck again. This time it was Robinson keeping it himself on a seven-yard scoring run to put the Cowboys up by 18.

OSU pushed its lead to 28-3 on a 14-yard touchdown grab by Adarius Bowman before Indiana finally got back on the scoreboard when Kellen Lewis fired a four-yard touchdown pass to Marcus Thigpen with just over five minutes remaining in the first half.

The final score of the half came on Robinson's second rushing score of the game, a one-yard plunge that gave OSU a 35-10 lead at intermission.

The Cowboys scored on five-straight possessions in the opening half, the first time they accomplished that feat this season.
